Aprimo In Action

To see what Aprimo can do, we should take a look at a particular case study. But, first, let's talk about Aprimo itself.

Aprimo is a company that uses experience-led consulting to bring big bank software into the new age. Our goal is to help brands bring engaging, new experiences to their customers.

With Aprimo, companies can store different file types, access rich media, and increase their team's efficiency with a singular content management solution.

Big Bank Case Study

Here it is. The case study example you've all been waiting for. In this example, our team at voolama leveraged Aprimo's content curating platform to bring a big bank over to the cloud. This bank was stuck using old, outdated workflows.

That was because they were originally using an on-premise version of our software. While the on-premise software worked for years and grew their business by leaps and bounds, it was time for them to leverage the cloud.

The plan was to migrate them from on-premise software to the SaaS cloud-based solution Aprimo can offer.

The Client

Let's take a look at the first aspect of our case study, the client in question. As stated before, the client is a U.S.-based bank. This particular bank isn't exactly small. It employs over 100,000 people.

Their primary focus is enterprise banking.

The Need

This banking client was struggling with their on-premise version of the software. It came time for them to think about how they could find a better solution. They also wanted to leverage the benefits of modern software and they wanted to cut costs.

That's why they decided to initiate a migration to the cloud. The on-premise software platform had become outdated and tough to maintain. They also weren't getting much support from their vendor.

They knew it was time to move on to something new.

The Problem

To migrate the bank from an on-premise solution to a SaaS solution, there were some problems that were necessary to tackle. The first was their current software.

The software they were currently using was old. Frustration was starting to grow. Users felt the most recent cloud-based Aprimo tools would make them more efficient. It would also make their jobs easier.

The bank was also dealing with slow response times. The version of Aprimo being used was old. There were a lot of issues with lagging, and conducting daily tasks was a sluggish experience.

The bank was also in a position where it was necessary for them to start saving money. Their budget was a concern, but they didn't want to have to worry about internal software upgrades. In the past, those upgrades had proven to be cumbersome and expensive.

The big picture was that user satisfaction was at an all-time low. Management at the bank was beginning to get fed up with having to support a tool that was coming to its end. They were basically keeping their old version of Aprimo on life support.

It was time to pull the plug!

The Solution

Overall, the solution was to move the bank over to our cloud-based Aprimo SaaS solution. Making that shift gave both employees and management at the bank everything they needed. We were able to provide value and put their minds at ease in a few different ways.

The first way was by adding functionality. The cloud-based version of Aprimo provided way more tools than the outdated on-premise version. All of the new features available, thanks to the cloud, made the bank run much more smoothly than it had in the past.

The best part is not only did they become more efficient, but they saved money too.

The next value-add we were able to give them was better saving. The money that was used to keep the on-premise Aprimo suite afloat could now be put back into the bank's pocket. The savings for this big bank would amount to millions of dollars over the lifetime of the new cloud-based software.

Finally, all of the changes brought about by the cloud-based Aprimo software made the employees happier. They adapted to the changes and were happy with the way things were working now on the platform.

Employees that weren't supporters of the platform became raving fans overnight.

It wasn't easy by any means, but moving to a cloud-based solution was well worth all of the work. Employees became much happier and everyone in the organization is now a fan of the Aprimo solution.

Admin and management within the big bank were happy to offer solutions and suggestions. They were happy to be part of the solution and offer feedback on how to improve those old, clunky, and outdated workflows.

The Cloud Is The Champ

The big bank in our case study was able to reach new levels thanks to their cloud-based solution from Aprimo. They were able to streamline their workflows, cut costs, save money, and make their employees happier in the process.

IT leaders are in a strong position after digital initiatives saved many businesses. But now, what businesses are asking for is evolving again. Digital Transformation has helped companies become more flexible and resilient in the face of worldwide recession, leaving the more digitally mature among them better placed to prosper in the post-pandemic era . After years of being promoted, piloted and implemented with varying degrees of urgency and success in organizations, digital transformation enabled a rapid pivot to remote working and put the digitization of business processes, including customer and employee experience ( CX and EX ), to a serious stress test. In its IT Spending & Staffing Benchmarks 2021/22 report, market research firm Computer Economics described technology's role in the rapid recovery from the pandemic as "nothing short of a miracle". Digital transformation passed the test, it seems. Going forward, Computer Economics suggested that the "low-hanging fruit" in cloud migration is now picked and that "We are now in the stage of digital transformation where we are not just replacing existing tools -- we are now enhancing them." In this article we'll examine where digital transformation is likely to go next. What the analysts say ... Towards the end of 2020, in the grip of the pandemic and with vaccine deployment still to come, IDC published its predictions for digital transformation (DX) for 2021 and beyond. The headline prediction was that direct DX investment will total over $6.8 trillion between 2020 and 2023 -- a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.5%. IDC says that that translates into nearly two-thirds (65%) of global GDP being digitalized by 2022. By 'digitalized', the analyst firm means "the inherent value that digital brings to existing products and additional digital services that companies might offer," explained Bob Parker, senior vice president at IDC, in an accompanying webcast . "This is why digital transformation is really a CEO priority -- more so than a CIO priority," Parker added.

In software development , agile (sometimes written Agile) is a set of practices intended to improve the effectiveness of software development professionals, teams, and organizations. It involves discovering requirements and developing solutions through the collaborative effort of self-organizing and cross-functional teams and their customer(s) / end user(s) . It advocates adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, and continual improvement , and it encourages flexible responses to changes in requirements, resource availability, and understanding of the problems to be solved. It was popularized by the 2001 Manifesto for Agile Software Development . The values and principles exposed in this manifesto were derived from and underpin a broad range of software development frameworks , including Scrum and Kanban . While there is much anecdotal evidence that adopting agile practices and values improves the effectiveness of software professionals, teams and organizations, the empirical evidence is mixed and hard to find.
